I like the name I-C-THNGS and that’s sort of what I wanted to get across with this site. There’s a lot of people out there who look down too and see things that a lot of people would otherwise miss. These are my two favourites from the crop of photos posted by I-C-THNGS so I thought I’d give them their own post. I love the frog spawn one just because it reminds me of being a kid. We used to go and mess about near this pond in the woods and I remember how cool I always thought frog spawn was. And was always a little tempted to try eating it. Glad I never did though!
And the second photo is just amazing, I’m pretty sure there’s no Photoshopping and it’s all natural, maybe I-C-THNGS could confirm that? But that’s what makes it such a cool picture, I don’t really know what else to say about it, it’s really up there with the best photos submitted so far. Just look at it!
Remember there’s loads more photos to be seen at the Flickr group.
Well this is it, the first proper post in a long time. People have been submitting loads of pics to the Flickr group while I’ve been without t’inter. I-C-THNGS has been one of the biggest contributors, so I thought I’d start with a couple of posts of his pics. This first post is three photos taken when he was in the air force and show the extreme of looking down, from a few thousand feet. They also really make me want to watch Top gun again, until I remember that Tom Cruise is an arse!
I finally have the internet sorted at my new place, so I’ll be starting to post up some new pics sometime in the next week. I would do it tonight but I’m going to a gig, my mate’s boyfriend is the drummer and they’re really very good. Check out their website here or myspace here and give them a listen. And to anyone in the UK you should try and catch one of their gigs.
Anyway, thanks to everyone who’s been checking back for updates and submitting photos to the Flickr group. And remember to keep looking down!
I’ve just moved house and don’t have the internet at the moment. So there won’t be any new posts probably for a week or so. On the plus side I now have a balcony! Woop woop.
“Taken on the kitchen floor late in the summer after a pedicure. It was taken to entice the foot lovers of Flickr. :)” And judging by the amount of comments, it seems to have worked!
“I took this picture on a very windy day at the top of Elephant rock in Bushrangers Bay, Australia. The vicious colours and patterns of the swells below gave me the impression as if I was looking down on Earth.”
Okay, that has nothing to do with looking down. But I get so much fun from sliding round my mate’s kitchen floor. This is what happens when you try and take it to the next level… and it made me laugh.
“My name is Laura Furniss [a.k.a Lowry Lou on Flickr] and the pic was taken on a lazy sunday afternoon cycling in Windsor, my boyfriend was taking the p1ss as he went off photographing buildings we passed and things while I was there snapping my feet ;-)”
